日本の貧困(にほんのひんこん、英: Poverty in Japan)について、日本では 相対的貧困とは、世帯収入が統計中央値の半分以下の状態と定義されている [1]。 OECDの数字によると、日本の世帯平均純可処分所得は23,458米ドルで、OECD加盟国の平均である22,387米ドルよりも高くなっている [2]が、他国とは異なり日本には公的な貧困を示すラインがなく、貧困状態に苦しんでいる人々の正確な数値を得ることが困難。ただし雇用状況調査から、低成長期の2006年に正規従業員の8.2%が、貧しき労働状況と見なされるほど十分な収入を得ていなかったと推定された。 2009年10月、当時の労働省は、日本人の6人に1人(2200万人)が貧困状態にあるという報告書を発表。
