アポロ計画 Apollo Program
アメリカの宇宙計画。1961年5月、ケネディ第35代大統領の宣言により開始された。この計画は七つの段階に分けられ、1～6段階の無人飛行で技術的要素を含むテストが行われた。1969年7月16日、アームストロング、コリンズ、オルドリンの3飛行士はアポロ11号に乗り込み、サターン5型ロケットで月に向かい、7月20日、アームストロングは月面に人類最初の第一歩を印した。「これは一人の人間にとっては単なる一歩だが、人類にとっては偉大な第一歩である」は、彼が月面に着地した時の言葉である。11号に続いて､ コンラッド、ビーン、ゴードンが１２号に、シェパード、ミッチェル、ルーサが１４号に、スコット、アーウイン、ウオードンが１５号に、ヤング、デューク、マティーンが１６号に、そしてサーナン、シュミット、エバンスが最後の１７号に搭乗して月面に着陸した。アポロ計画で1972年12月に終了するまでに合計400kg近い月面の岩石、土壌が収集され、膨大な量の写真が月面と軌道上から撮影された。また、宇宙線、太陽風の検出を含むさまざまな実験や観測が月面で行われた。アポロ宇宙船は、一人乗りの司令船（Command Module）、機械船（Service Module）および二人乗りの月着陸船（Lunar Module）からなっていた。

アポロ計画（アポロけいかく、Apollo program）は、アメリカ航空宇宙局（NASA）による人類初の月への有人宇宙飛行計画である。1961年から1972年にかけて実施され、全6回の有人月面着陸に成功した。

- ^ 初期には月周遊船 (Lunar Excursion Module, LEM) とも呼ばれていた。
