ジョージア州（ジョージアしゅう、英: State of Georgia [ˈdʒɔrdʒə] (
音声ファイル)）は、アメリカ合衆国の南東部にある州。州都はアトランタ市。なお、同市は人口では州内で最大の都市でもある。1776年にアメリカ独立宣言をした13州の1つであり、コカ・コーラやCNN、アフラックの本社などがあることでも知られている。

黒人でニューヨークの実業家チュニス・キャンベルは1863年に陸軍長官エドウィン・M・スタントンからサウスカロライナ州ポートロイヤルの元奴隷を助けるために雇われた。南北戦争が終わったとき、キャンベルはジョージア州シーアイランドに配属され、解放奴隷のための土地改良計画に携わって成功した。その後、ジョージア州共和党の副議長、州上院議員およびクー・クラックス・クランに対抗して使うことを望んだアフリカ系アメリカ人州兵隊の長になった。

両候補の票差が僅差であったため、全投票を再集計していたジョージア州で、11月20日までに、5800票の未集計の票が発見され、内6割はトランプに投じた票であった。ジョージア州務長官のBrad Raffenspergerはこれは人為的ミスであったと説明した。ワシントン・ポストが報じる所では、2021年1月2日に、トランプが電話でBrad Raffenspergerに対して、ジョージア州の選挙結果を覆すのに十分な票を発見するように圧力をかけた(Trump–Raffensperger phone call)。この行為は、連邦議会議事堂襲撃事件と並んでドナルド・トランプの2度目の弾劾訴追の原因となった。
