『PLUTO』（プルートゥ）は、浦沢直樹による日本の漫画。手塚治虫の『鉄腕アトム』に含まれる「地上最大のロボット」の回を原作としてリメイクした作品[1]。監修・手塚眞、プロデューサー・長崎尚志、協力・手塚プロダクション[1]。『ビッグコミックオリジナル』（小学館）にて、2003年から2009年まで連載された。単行本は電子書籍化されていなかったが、2022年10月28日より、浦沢作品の電子化プロジェクトの第5弾作品として配信されている[1]。

冥王星（めいおうせい、134340 Pluto）は、太陽系外縁天体内のサブグループ（冥王星型天体）の代表例とされる、準惑星に区分される天体である。1930年にクライド・トンボーによって発見され、2006年までは太陽系第9惑星とされていた。しかし他の8惑星と比べて離心率のある軌道と黄道面から傾いた軌道傾斜角を持つ。直径は2,370キロメートル[2] であり、地球の衛星である月の直径（3,474キロメートル）よりも小さい。冥王星の最大の衛星カロンは直径が冥王星の半分以上あり、それを理由に二重天体とみなされることもある。
