ジャパノイズ (Japanoise[1] / Japanoize[注釈 1]) は、ノイズミュージックの中で、特に日本のミュージシャンによって作成された楽曲及びミュージシャン、バンド自身を指す[3][4]ものである[注釈 2]。
研究
2013年にはDavid Novak[6]によって、『Japanoise: Music at the Edge of Circulation (Sign, Storage, Transmission)』と題された書籍が刊行されている[7]。2019年にはJeremy Corralによって『Japanoise – Extrémismes & entropie』[8]と題された書籍が刊行されている。
Sam Bowmerは1980年代をジャパノイズの典拠としている[9]。イタリア・ミラノの「浦島」レーベルは、1989年以降を[10]ジャパノイズの代表としている。Masato Matsumuraは1990年代の関西ノイズについて言及している[11]。
