環境的レイシズム

環境的レイシズム、環境的人種差別、環境レイシズム (かんきょうてきれいしずむ、environmental racism) とは、少数派グループに、有毒廃棄物施設や軍事基地公害、およびその他の環境汚染および汚染源を多く押し付けられている状況を示す。1970年代から1980年代にかけて米国で発展した環境正義運動 (environmental justice movement) の一つの概念で、人種階層化された社会の中での実態や政策における環境的不正義[2]を示す。例えば環境的人種差別は、白人系住民が郊外に移住した郊外化後のインナーシティーと郊外とのあいだの不平等をさす。また国際間では、先進国から発達途上国への汚染物質や廃棄物などの輸出などの問題もこれに含まれる。
