セックスワーカー (英語: sex worker) とは、自身の外見、イメージ、行為などを性的なサービスとして提供する事を仕事にしている労働者である。日本語では性労働者と訳される事もある。また、英語の頭文字をとって、SWと略される事もある。

- ^ 身体的な接触を伴うセックスワーカーには、売春婦、男娼、ヘルス嬢、ソープ嬢、コールガール、「女王様」、性感マッサージのマッサージ師などが含まれる。
- ^ 性的なパフォーマンスを行うセックスワーカーには、セックスショー、ストリップの踊り子（ストリッパー）、テレホンセックスのキャスト、のぞき部屋のキャスト、ウェブカムを通してパフォーマンスするカムガールやカムボーイなどが含まれる。
- ^ 性的メディアに出演するセックスワーカーには、アダルトモデルやポルノ女優・AV男優・AV女優などが含まれる。

- ^ ニュージーランドの2003年の売春改革法により、セックスワーカーが安全に働ける環境を保証するための法整備がされてきた。例としてニュージーランドで4名以上の公娼が働く売春宿の運営には、セックスワーカーのマネジメント能力を保証する免許が必要となる。雇用契約のあるセックスワーカーは労働基本権が保証され、その他の労働者と同じように保障される[18]。

- ^ オランダの法務大臣は売春の非犯罪化について「売買春は遥か昔から存在し、これからも存在し続けるだろう。…違法化は進むべき方向ではない。…自主的に売買春に関わることを合法とすることで、行政は規制をすることができる。健全で、透明性を持たせ、犯罪性のある副作用を治すことも可能だ」とした[25]。
