欧州議会

欧州議会（おうしゅうぎかい、英語: European Parliament, EP、フランス語: Parlement européen, PE）は、直接選挙で選出される欧州連合の組織。欧州連合の機関において欧州連合理事会とともに両院制の立法府を形成している。現在では、多くの分野で、共同決定手続が適用され、理事会と欧州議会の双方が同意することが必要になっており、決定権は理事会にあるという分野は限定的になっている。議員は751人で、その選挙は民主的に実施されるものとしてはインドについで世界で2番目に多い有権者によって実施され、また国境を越えた選挙としては世界最大の規模である^[1]^[2]。
