露土戦争の歴史

露土戦争とは、16世紀から20世紀にかけてロシアとトルコが衝突した12もの戦争を指す。この両国による衝突はヨーロッパ史の中で最長とされている。1710年から1711年にかけて起きたプルート川の戦いと露土戦争とは分けて扱われるクリミア戦争以外の戦争はオスマン帝国にとってどれも悲惨に終わり、ロシアにとっては18世紀初頭のピョートル1世の近代化政策も相まってロシアが大国として台頭したのを示すことにもなった[1][2][3]。
