中世後期のスコットランド(ちゅうせいこうきのスコットランド)は、1286年のアレクサンダー3世の死から1513年のジェイムズ4世の死までの間とされ、この時期に、13世紀末のウィリアム・ウォレスや14世紀初頭のロバート・ブルースのような人々の努力のもとでイングランドからのスコットランドの独立を確立した。ステュワート王朝下の15世紀において、政治的な混乱がありながらも、王は独立的な領主を犠牲にして政治的支配を増大し、現代のスコットランドの境界にほぼ等しいまでに、失われていた領地の大部分を回復した。しかし、フランスとの古い同盟のために生じた1513年のフロドゥンの戦いにおいて、スコットランド軍は大きな敗北を喫し、ジェイムズ4世が亡くなった。この結果、王の未成年期が続くことになり、政治的に不安定な時代が長く続くことになった。
