Goとは、Googleが開発したプログラミング言語の名称である。2009年11月10日に発表された。
GoはC言語やC++に似た記法を持つコンパイラ型言語で、ガベージコレクション機能や並列処理をサポートしている。また、例外処理、クラスの継承（インヘリタンス）といった機能は持たない。
GoはBSDライセンスにより、オープンソースで公開されている。11月の発表時点ではLinuxとMac OSに対応している。

Goはプログラミング言語の1つである。Googleにおいて2009年[4]ロバート・グリースマ、ロブ・パイク、ケン・トンプソンによって設計された[5]。Goは、静的型付け、C言語の伝統に則ったコンパイル言語、メモリ安全性、ガベージコレクション、構造的型付け、CSPスタイルの並行性などの特徴を持つ[6]。Goのコンパイラ、ツール、およびソースコードは、すべてフリーかつオープンソースである[7]。
