テレプレゼンスとは、遠隔地のメンバーとその場で対面しているかのような臨場感を提供する技術のことである。特に、高品質な音声や高解像度の映像などを駆使した、遠隔地のメンバー同士で会議を催すためのシステムを指すことが多い。
テレプレゼンスと呼ばれる会議用システムは、ビデオ会議システムと同様に遠隔地で会議を行う用途のシステムであるといえる。高度な技術によって直接対面しているかのような仮想現実を演出できる点に特徴がある。大画面のディスプレイ、720pや1080pの高解像度の映像、高品質の音声などによって、等身大の人物の映像とリアルタイムにコミュニケーションを図ることができる。
テレプレゼンスを会議用ソリューションとして提供している企業としては、IBMやCisco Systems、Hewlett-Packardなどを挙げることができる。

テレプレゼンス（英語: telepresence）は、テレロボティクスを介して、実際の場所以外の場所に存在しているように感じたり、存在しているように見せたり、効果を発揮したりできる一連のテクノロジーを指す。
