商品市場（しょうひんしじょう、commodity market、コモディティ市場またはコモディティ・マーケットとも）は、カカオ、果物、砂糖などの第一次産業の産品（ソフトコモディティと呼ばれる）および金や石油などの鉱業産品（ハードコモディティと呼ばれる）が取引される市場である[1]。先物取引は、商品に投資する最も古い方法であり、先物は物的資産によって担保されている[2]。商品市場には、現物取引と、スポット取引、先渡取引（フォワード取引）、先物取引および先物取引のオプションを使用したデリバティブが含まれる。農業従事者は、収穫物の価格価変動リスクを管理するために何世紀にもわたって商品市場で単純なデリバティブ取引を使用してきた[3]。
