アンドロメダ座カイ星

アンドロメダ座χ星（アンドロメダざカイせい、χ Andromedae、χ And）は、アンドロメダ座の恒星である。見かけの等級は5.01と、肉眼でもみることができる明るさである[1]。年周視差の測定に基づいて太陽系からの距離を計算すると、およそ264光年である[2][注 1]。視線速度の変化から、周期およそ21年の分光連星であると考えられ、主星はG型巨星であるが、伴星についてはよくわかっていない[3]。

- ^ MK分類を示したローマンによると、アンドロメダ座χ星はG8 III型の中でも weak-line 群に属するとされ、“weak-line”は吸収線が弱いことを意味するが、ローマンの分類では晩期G型–K型星における“weak-line”は文字通りの意味ではなく、カルシウム原子の吸収線（波長4226Å）とCH分子のGバンドの吸収の強さを比較した際に特定の傾向を持つ恒星を割り当てたものである[11][12]。
