アルキルグリセロール

アルキルグリセロール（＝アルコキシグリセロール、Alkyl glycerol、略号：AKG）は、グリセリンとエーテル結合を持つ化合物であり、クミルアルコール，バチルアルコール，セラキルアルコールが主な成分であり、エーテル脂質（Ether lipid）とも言う。人体の肝臓・脾臓・骨髄・赤血球・血漿中に存在する。ヒトの母乳や牛乳などにも含まれるが、比較的サメの肝臓に多く含まれていることが知られている。なお、サメの持つアルキルグリセロールは、免疫刺激物質およびガンの強力な治療薬などとして用いられている。
