AHCC（活性化糖類関連化合物）は、シイタケ（Lentinula edodes）属に属する担子菌の菌糸体培養液から抽出されたα-グルカンに富んだ植物性多糖体の混合物である。 これは、医薬品ではなくいわゆる健康食品として、開発国の日本のみならずヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アジア、オセアニアなど広範囲で販売されており、補完代替医療の一手段としても取り入れられている。
