モアビ

モアビ（moabi; 学名: Baillonella toxisperma）とはアカテツ科の高木の一種である。中部アフリカを中心に分布し（参照: #分布）、日本ではサクラ材の代用材（いわゆる「洋桜」）の一つとして流通するが、現地では果実や種子の仁が食用、様々な部位が薬用に用いられる（参照: #利用）。
注釈
- ^ ヨンベ語の場合は muabi[5] や mwabi とも綴られる。
- ^ ただしこの頃既に新種や新属を宣言する慣習が存在していた（たとえば Pierre (1890:15) で新属として記載された Beauvisagea は横に新属であることを意味する "gen. nov." が明記されている）にもかかわらず、Baillonella属も Baillonella toxisperma もそのような宣言は行われていない。
