ドアパネルの窓枠を構成する板金部品で、ウエスト上方部分のロール成形でできたチャンネル断面のフレームである。チャンネル内側はガラス昇降時のガイドを行い、外側はドアの外縁を形造るとともに、ウエザーストリップを保持するリテーナーの役目を受け持つ。断面図にみられるように、1枚板の折り曲げでできているとは思えない複雑な形状が、16～20段階のロール工程を経てつくられる。

サッシュ（英語: sash）は、主に儀礼的な場面で身体に着用するリボンや帯の一種。大きくて色鮮やかな布で、肩から反対側の腰へ斜めにかけて、あるいはベルトのように腰に巻いて着用される。腰に巻くサッシュは日常で着用されることもある。儀礼的なサッシュには、両肩から垂らし胸や腹部のあたりで交差して着用するV字状のタイプもある。
