ダンディ(英: dandy)は、身なり・巧みな言葉づかい・余裕ある趣味といったものを特に重視しながら、あくまで無頓着を装ってそれらを追求し、自らに陶酔する男や女の精神を指す[1]。ダンディは、とりわけ18世紀後半から19世紀前半にかけての英国で自発的に生じ、中産階級の出自にかかわらず貴族のライフスタイルを模倣しようと励んだ。
