ペンシルバニア鉄道

ペンシルバニア鉄道（ペンシルバニアてつどう、英語: Pennsylvania Railroad、報告記号はPRR）は、1846年に設立された、アメリカ合衆国の一級鉄道である。本社をペンシルベニア州フィラデルフィアにおき、一般的にペンシー (Pennsy) と呼ばれていた。 PRRは、20世紀前半の期間中、アメリカ合衆国において輸送量および収入において最大の鉄道会社で、また一時期は世界で最大の株式公開企業であった。その規模が最大の時期には、約10,000マイル（約16,000 km）の鉄道路線を抱え、1920年代には路線長が近いユニオン・パシフィック鉄道（UP）やアッチソン・トピカ・アンド・サンタフェ鉄道（AT&SF）などと比較して貨物の輸送トンマイルにして3倍の輸送量を持っていた。最大のライバルはニューヨーク・セントラル鉄道（NYC）で、ペンシルバニア鉄道の4分の3ほどの輸送量であった。
