エウストレプトスポンディルス

エウストレプトスポンディルス（学名 Eustreptospondylus 「真のストレプトスポンディルス」の意味）は、メガロサウルス科の恐竜の属であり、中期ジュラ紀カロビアン期（1億6500万年前から1億6100万年前）に現在のイングランド南部(イギリス)に生息していた。この当時ヨーロッパは一連の離島であった（地殻運動のため海底が隆起し、低地が水没していたので）。海岸線で死体や海洋生物を漁っていた可能性がある[1]
