セリウム(Ce)の同位体のうち天然に生成するものは、4種類の安定同位体¹³⁶Ce、¹³⁸Ce、¹⁴⁰Ce及び¹⁴²Ceからなる。このうち¹⁴⁰Ceは天然存在比が88.48%と最も豊富に存在する。¹⁴²Ceはベータ崩壊を2回繰り返すと推測されているが、半減期は5×10¹⁶年以上で、今まで観測されたことはない。27種類の放射性同位体が同定されていて、最も安定な¹⁴⁴Ceの半減期は284.893日、¹³⁹Ceの半減期は137.640日、¹⁴¹Ceの半減期は32.501日である。その他は全て4日以内で、そのほとんどは10分以内である。2つの核異性体もある。

原子量は119から157の間に存在し、標準原子量は140.116(1) uである。
