非点収差　astigmatism

レンズの直交する軸の焦点距離が違う現象。人間の眼で言うと乱視の状態で、レンズの材質の非均一、加工精度、汚れの付着などによって起きる。非点収差があると、光軸上の一点から出た電子線は、ある距離をおいて互いに直交する2本の線状の像を作り、その中間では電子線の断面は楕円や大きさを持った円（最小錯乱円）となる。このため十分細い電子プローブが得られない。
