【概要】 言葉がうまくしゃべれなくなること。大きく運動性失語症(motor aphasia)と感覚性失語症(sensory aphasia)に分けられる。前者は脳のブローカ中枢の障害により、言葉の意味はわかるが発話がむずかしい。一方、後者はウェルニッケ中枢の障害で、言語理解が難しい。発語は盛んだがつじつまがあわない。区別には専門的な検査と診断が必要。痴呆の有無もポイント。
