「penultimate」の意味・「penultimate」とは

「penultimate」とは、英語で「最後から二番目」を意味する単語である。一連の事象や項目の中で、最後から二番目に位置するものを指す。例えば、一週間の日曜から土曜までの日々を考えた場合、「penultimate day」は金曜日を指す。
