エロヒム 【Elohim】

神を表すヘブライ語普通名詞神々の中の一神究極的にヤハウェエホバ)を表す。『旧約聖書』の最初六書資料(J典・E典・P典・H典・D典)の中のE典を、エロヒム典と呼ぶ(略称E典)。神をエロヒムと記しているから

エロヒムヘブライ語: אֱלֹהִים‎)は、ヘブライ語聖書に登場し、神を表す普通名詞。文脈により何を指しているかは変わるが、ヘブライ語聖書の多くの部分では神ヤハウェיהוהと同一視される。エロヒムを複数形と解釈した場合その単数形は「エロア」と復元できるが、これはアラビア語で「神」の単数形であるアッラー Allahと同根である。
