パーキングロット

英語：parking lot

(1)駐車場のこと。
(2)議論において、今すぐには話し合うべきではないと判断される話題などを一旦保留しておくために、机やホワイトボードの隅などに設けられるスペースを意味する語。議論の混乱や、無駄な議論を避ける効果があると言われる。テーマから外れた話題を隔離するために用いられるが、議論が進むとパーキングロットに保留しておいた話題が役に立つ場合もあるとされる。
