ペル‐メル【Pall Mall】
読み方：ぺるめる
英国の首都ロンドン中心部、ウエストミンスター特別区にある街路。セントジェームズパークの北側、トラファルガー広場とセントジェームズ宮殿を結ぶ。名称は、チャールズ2世が球技ペルメルを楽しんだ場所であることから。

ペルメルないしパルマル（英: Pall mall、paille maille、palle malle、etc.）は、クロッケーの原型になったとされるローン・ゲーム（芝生上で行う球技）のひとつ（→ペルメル (球技)）。また、転じて次のような用例があるほか、ポールモールと発音されることもある。

ペル・メル[1]（イギリス: [pælˈmæl][1]、アメリカ: [pɛlˈmɛl]・[pælˈmæl]・[pɔːlˈmɔːl]）は、16世紀・17世紀に流行したローン・ゲーム（芝生の上で行う屋外競技）の一種で[1][2]、クロッケーの原型になったとされる。英語でのスペルには、Pall-mall、paille-maille、palle-maille、pell-mell、palle-malleなどがある。
