腫瘍壊死因子

腫瘍壊死因子（しゅようえしいんし、英: Tumor Necrosis Factor, TNF）とは、サイトカインの1種であり、狭義にはTNFはTNF-α、TNF-β（リンホトキシン（LT）-α）およびLT-βの3種類である。TNF-αは主にマクロファージにより産生されており、固形がんに対して出血性の壊死を生じさせるサイトカインとして発見された。腫瘍壊死因子と言えば一般にTNF-αを指していることが多い。これらの分子は同じの受容体を介して作用し、類似した生理作用を有する。広義にTNFファミリーと称する場合にはFasリガンドやCD40リガンド等の少なくとも19種類以上の分子が含まれる。本稿では狭義のTNFについて述べる。
