ジョン・テイラー（英語: John Taylor、1753年12月19日 - 1824年8月21日)は、アメリカ合衆国バージニア州出身の政治家、著作家である。通常カロラインのジョン・テイラー（英語: John Taylor of Caroline）と呼ばれる。バージニア州下院議員（1779年-81年、1783年-85年、1796年-1800年）、アメリカ合衆国上院議員（1792年-94年、1803年、1822年-24年）を務めた。政治と農業に関して数冊の著作を著した。ジェファーソン流民主主義者であり、その著作は後の州の権限やリバタリアン運動にヒントを与えた。2008年に歴史家のシェルドンとヒルは、テイラーを共和主義と古典的自由主義の交差点に位置していたと論じた。その立場を、「ジョン・ロックの自然権、自由、制限された政府への関心と共に、集中された権限と富、政治的腐敗、財政操作を防ぐための規制に市民が強く参加することにおける古典的な興味の組み合わせ」と見ている[1]。
