火薬帝国

火薬帝国[1] (英語: Gunpowder Empires)とは、中世から近世にかけて、火薬、火器を用いて勢力範囲を広げ、またそれらから支配体制・社会構造の形成に大きな影響をうけた国を指す歴史学上の概念、仮説である。特にオスマン帝国、サファヴィー朝、ムガル帝国の三帝国について用いられる。
