本記事では古代オリエントの編年（こだいオリエントのへんねん）について、即ち古代オリエント（中近東）の歴史上発生した様々な出来事、君主、王朝の年代を決定するフレームワークについて解説する。なお、日本語においてオリエント、あるいは中近東と言った用語はしばしばエジプトを含むが、本記事ではエジプトを対象としない。

^ アッカド帝国の滅亡からウル第3王朝の成立までの期間についての主要な学説に基づいた年表は前田徹が著書の中にまとめている^[10]。
^ 正式には「アヌ、エンリル、エンキの崇高なる武器をもって、忠実なる牧夫リム・シンがイシンの王都とそれに属する全住民を征服し、その多数の住民の助命を聞き届け、常に王名を高からしめた（年）」であり、省略形は「彼はイシンを征服した（年）」である。
^ ハンムラビ王の統治第31年の年名にラルサを滅ぼしたことを採用しているため、ハンムラビがラルサを滅ぼしたのは統治第30年である^[28]^[29]。リム・シン1世の在位年数は60年であるため、ハンムラビの統治第30年がリム・シン1世の統治第60年にあたることもわかる。
^ ダミク・イリシュの在位年数が4年とされる王名表は、それがダミク・イリシュの在位中に編纂されたためと推定されている。
