メロウ(merrow、アイルランド語: murúch)は、アイルランド民話・伝説上の「人魚」または「半魚人」。

- ^ suire をミレー族の船舶が目撃したという記述が、クローカー(1828年)によれば「ロマン主義的な史家たち」の著書にあり[9]、チャールズ・ヴァランシー(1786年)によればキーティングの史書にある[22]。キーティングの史書では「ゴイデル族(ゲール人)」が遭遇するので合致しないが、オクラリー編「侵寇の書」ならば合致する[23][24]。人魚に当たる語はそれぞれ murrdhúchainn、murduchann であり suire ではないが、オクラリーの語彙集ではsúire=murduchannとしている[19]。
