経済学とインダストリアルデザインにおいて、計画的陳腐化（けいかくてきちんぷか、英: Planned obsolescence）（意図的陳腐化や早すぎる陳腐化とも呼ばれる）とは、製品寿命を人為的に制限したり、わざと脆弱な設計にすることで、ある一定の期間後に製品が陳腐化するように方針を立てたり設計したりするという概念である。その期間を過ぎると、製品は徐々に機能しなくなったり、突然機能しなくなったり、あるいはファッション的に時代遅れと見なされるかもしれない[1]。この戦略の背後にある理論的根拠は、買い替えサイクルを短縮することで長期的な販売量を増やすことである[2]。また、これは製品の寿命を意図的に短くして、人々に機能的な代替品を購入させるものである[3]。
