アカシア【acacia】

１ マメ科アカシア属の常緑樹の総称。葉は羽状複葉。花は黄色、まれに白色で、多数集まって穂状に咲く。オーストラリアを中心に約650種が分布。ギンヨウアカシア・アラビアゴムノキなどが含まれる。

アカシア (金合歓、Acacia) は、マメ科ネムノキ亜科[1]アカシア属の総称。アカキア、アカシヤ、アカシャ、アケイシャとも言う。広葉樹。
