マネー‐サプライ【money supply】
読み方：まねーさぷらい
金融機関・中央政府以外の一般企業・個人・地方公共団体などが保有する通貨量。日本銀行から金融機関に供給される資金はマネーベースという。通貨供給量。→マネーストック
[補説] 郵政民営化や金融商品の多様化などによる環境の変化に対応するため、日本銀行は従来の「マネーサプライ統計」を見直し、集計対象や指標の定義を改定。平成20年（2008）6月から名称を「マネーストック統計」に変更した。マネーサプライ統計では「M2＋CD」（現金通貨・要求払預金・定期性預金・外貨預金・非居住者預金にCD（譲渡性預金）を加えたもの）が代表的な指標とされていたが、マネーストック統計ではより調査対象の広い「M3」（現金通貨・預金通貨・準通貨・CDの合計）が代表的な指標として使用される。

マネーサプライ（英: money supply）とは、金融機関と中央政府を除いた、国内の経済主体が保有する通貨の合計である。マネーストック（英: money stock）ともいい、これらを和訳した通貨供給量や通貨残高も使われる。
