しろばなはぎ (白花萩)
●わが国の本州、東北地方から北陸・中国地方の山野に生える「みやぎのはぎ」の変種で、花の白いものをいいます。全体に絹状の伏毛があり、葉は３出複葉で互生しています。７月から９月ごろ、枝垂れる枝の葉腋から長い総状花序をだして、白い蝶形花をいっぱいに咲かせます。
●'Shirobana-hagi' (Lespedeza thunbergii var. albiflora) belongs to Fabaceae(Pea family). It is a deciduous small tree that is a white-flowering variety of'Miyagino-hagi'. This tree is distributed southward from Tohoku district toHokuriku and Chugoku district of Honshu. It is covered with silkyappressed hairs. The leaves are trifoliate and alternate. The long racemesare borne on the weeping branch axiles and bloom many whitepapilionacenous flowers from July to September.
