スピーク・イージー
| アメリカの禁酒法時代にもぐり営業をしていた酒場のこと。「こっそりと酒を注文する」、というのがこの名称の語源です。禁酒法時代後半の1929年、ニューヨークには約32000軒のスピー・クイージーがありました。禁酒法廃止前年の1932年には、全米に22万軒近くあったといいます。多くは、洋服屋、床屋、薬局、さらには葬儀屋の奥の一室で営業したり、覗き穴つきの地下室で営業していました。ニューヨークの高級レストラン・バーとして今も健在の「21クラブ」（マンハッタン52丁目）の地下の酒蔵（セラー）は、そうしたスピーク・イージーの超高級店でした。現在もこの店を訪れると、もぐり酒場時代の隠し扉を名残りとして見ることができます。 |

スピークイージー（英語: speakeasy、別名ブラインドピッグ(英語: blind pig)もしくはブラインドタイガー、英語: blind tiger）とは、アルコール飲料を密売する場所である。
