欧州連合（EU）の主要機関。欧州議会。EUの諸活動に対し、民主的なコントロールを行うことを目的とする諮問・共同決定機関。諮問的機関から出発し、次第に権限を強化。特定分野の立法における理事会との共同決定権、EU予算の承認権、新任欧州委員の承認権等を有する。

欧州議会（おうしゅうぎかい、英語: European Parliament, EP、フランス語: Parlement européen, PE）は、直接選挙で選出される欧州連合の組織。欧州連合の機関において欧州連合理事会とともに両院制の立法府を形成している。現在では、多くの分野で、共同決定手続が適用され、理事会と欧州議会の双方が同意することが必要になっており、決定権は理事会にあるという分野は限定的になっている。議員は751人で、その選挙は民主的に実施されるものとしてはインドについで世界で2番目に多い有権者によって実施され、また国境を越えた選挙としては世界最大の規模である[1][2]。
