タイヤのコーナリング特性を測定する機器。接地荷重、横滑り角、キャンバー角を任意に設定し、路面から受ける反力を6分力で測定する機能をもつ。横滑り角の変化速度を制御し、過渡特性を測定できるものもある。室内試験機と実車タイプとがある。室内試験機は、ローレット加工やセーフティウォーク(サンドペイパー様)などを貼ったドラムを用い、効率、精度、再現性から主流となっているが、近年、ドラムの曲率の影響を除き、実条件に近いフラットベルトタイプが主流である。実車タイプは、バスやトラックやトレーラーに測定機器を装備する。実際の条件に限りなく近いが、実路面の不均一性、温度管理の困難さ、試験が大がかりになるなどの欠点もある。
