【英】Tech Support Scam

サポート詐欺とは、オンライン詐欺の手口のうち、PCに危険や問題があると警告を発した上でテクニカルサポート窓口を案内し、調査・診断を装ったオペレーションや対応ソリューションの案内を通じて詐欺をはたらく手口の総称である。

セキュリティベンダーのトレンドマイクロによれば、サポート詐欺は「ウイルスに感染している」とか「システムに異常がある」といった警告を表示させて（事実の有無とは関係なく）使って利用者の不安を煽る。警告表示と共に対応窓口への連絡方法が案内されている。トレンドマイクロが調査した事例では、誘導された窓口が「有償サポートプラン」の紹介につながっており、サポートプランへの契約という形で金銭を詐取する意図があると見られている。

サポート詐欺（サポートさぎ、英: tecnical support scam、tech support scam）とは「偽のエラーメッセージ」をポップアップ広告で表示させる、あるいは、詐欺師の運営するウェブサイトに掲載された「偽のヘルプデスク」の広告を通じて、正規のテクニカルサポートを装い行われる詐欺の一種。技術サポート詐欺、テクニカルサポート（テクサポ）詐欺ともいわれる[1][2]。

  1. ^ コンピュータによる自動架電機能。リスト化された電話番号などに対し、断続的に電話を掛け続け、相手が電話に出た場合には予め録音された音声を流す。
