スモウ・デジタル （Sumo Digital Ltd.）は、イギリスのシェフィールドに拠点を置くイギリスの独立系ゲーム開発スタジオ。インフォグラム・スタジオ（元グレムリン・インタラクティブ）の閉鎖に伴い、2003年に設立。設立当初はインフォブラムやグレムリンからの転職が多く、現在は500名以上の開発スタッフを様々なキャリアから雇用している。
概略
スモウ・デジタルは、元グレムリンのカール・キャバース、ポール・ポーター、ダレン・マイルズそしてジェームス・ノースハーンによって2003年に創立。カール・キャバースは1995年にクオリティ・システムマネージャーとしてグレムリンに入社、以後1998年にスタジオマネージャーに昇格。ポールポーターは1997年にグレムリンの開発部署に入社する前にPCとプレイステーション用のブロークン・ソードをローレベルコードでプログラミング。ダレン・マイルズはBBC、ITV、Sky Sportsのカメラマン兼編集者を経て、1995年にリードアーティストとしてグレムリンに入社し、その後インフォグラム・シェフィールドスタジオのアートディレクターに就任。インフォグラム・シェフィールドスタジオ自体は、1999年にインフォグラムに買収される以前は、グレムリン・インタラクティブでした。
2007年8月17日、スモウ・デジタルはファンデーション9エンターテイメントにより買収され、ファンデーション9の独立系スタジオコレクションに参入する。しかし、2014年11月11日に、経営陣によるマネージメントバイアウトが完了し、ファンデーション9エンターテイメントから独立をする。
スモウ・デジタルへBizarre CreationsやBlack Rock Studioなど現存しないゲーム開発スタジオからの開発スタッフの雇用も確認されている。現在はイギリスにあるスモウ・デジタル・ノッティンガム、スモウ・デジタル・ニューカッスル、スモウ・デジタル・シェフィールド、The Chinese Roomそしてインドにあるスモウ・デジタル・プネーの５つの開発スタジオがある。
