2025年ルーヴル美術館強盗事件とは、2025年10月19日、建設作業員を装った窃盗団が、フランス・パリのルーヴル美術館内「アポロン・ギャラリー」から、フランス王室の宝飾品8点を窃盗した事件である。被害総額は約8800万ユーロに上る。犯行は開館時間中に行われ、窃盗団が美術館内で過ごした時間は4分、犯行全体の所要時間は8分未満であった。ルーヴル美術館における美術品窃盗は、1998年に絵画「セーヴルへの道」が盗難されて以来、初めての事例である。
10月25日には、セーヌ＝サン＝ドニ県出身の30代男性2名が本件に関連して逮捕された。内1名は出国便への搭乗を試み、パリ＝シャルル・ド・ゴール空港で逮捕された。さらに10月29日には、新たに5名の容疑者が逮捕された。
背景
ルーヴル美術館内に位置する16世紀建造の「アポロン・ギャラリー」には、ルイ15世の王冠やオルタンシア・ダイヤモンドをはじめ、現存するフランス王室の宝飾品が展示されていた[1]。
ルーヴルにおける最初の記録的な盗難事件は1911年に発生し、元美術館職員ビンセンツォ・ペルージャが「モナ・リザ」を盗難した（2年後にイタリアで回収）[2]。近年の美術品の盗難は1998年に発生し、ジャン＝バティスト・カミーユ・コロー作の絵画「セーヴルへの道」が盗難に遭っている。この作品は未だ発見されていない。当時のルーヴル館長ピエール・ローゼンバーグは、美術館の警備体制が「脆弱」であると警告を発していた[3][4][5]。
2025年の盗難事件当時に館長を務めていたローレンス・デ・カーズは、パリ警察に対し美術館のセキュリティ監査を要請していた。監査後に改善案が提示されたものの、犯行発生時点では実施が開始されたばかりであった[3]。労働組合によれば、ルーヴルの警備体制は職員削減により弱体化しており、一方で入場者数は急増していた。労働組合連合ソリデールは2025年10月19日付声明で、ルーヴルにおける「警備職種の破壊」に抗議を表明した[3]。
同様に近年標的となり盗難被害を受けたフランスの美術館としては、2024年11月のコニャック＝ジェイ美術館とイエロン美術館、2025年9月のアドリアン・デュブーシェ国立博物館が挙げられる[6]。さらにパリの国立自然史博物館も2025年9月16日、60万ユーロ相当の金製品を盗難される被害に遭っていた[7][8]。
盗難
事件は中央ヨーロッパ夏時間の午前9時30分頃、美術館が開館してから30分後に発生した[9][10]。犯人らは工具を持ち込み、セーヌ川側から建物に侵入。橙色と黄色のベストを着用し、建設作業員を装っていた[10]。 うち2名[11]は目出し帽で顔を覆い[9]、パリで一般的に使用される家具用リフトを使い、建物南側の1階バルコニーに侵入した[10][6][11][12]。バルコニーからはディスクカッター[10][13]でガラス窓を切断してギャラリー内部に侵入し、この際警報システムが作動した[11]。 電動工具で警備員を脅し、犯人らは2つのガラス展示ケースから9点の宝飾品を奪取[6][14]。リフトで美術館を脱出すると、スクーターで待機していた別の2名の仲間と合流した[15][12]。しかし逃走途中、ウジェニー皇后の王冠を路上に落としたため、宝飾品は8点に減少している[16]。犯人らは逃走前にリフトの籠に放火を試みた[11]。 セーヌ川岸伝いにペリフェリックへ逃走した後、オートルート A6を南下[17][18]。犯行全体の所要時間は8分未満で、建物内部にいた時間はわずか4分間に過ぎなかった[19]。
盗品
文化省により盗難品は以下のように特定された：
- マリー・アマリー王妃およびオルタンス王妃のサファイア・セットのティアラ、ネックレス、イヤリング
- マリー・ルイーザ皇后のエメラルド・セットのネックレス、イヤリング
- ウジェニー・ド・モンティジョ皇后の所有品より、聖遺物収納ブローチ、大型コサージュ・リボンブローチ、ティアラ[20][21]
逃走途中、犯人はウジェニー皇后の冠を落下させた。この冠はガラスケースの小さな開口部を無理に引き抜いたため損傷した状態で発見されている。ド・カール館長は「初期評価では、繊細な修復が可能であることを示唆している」と表明した[22][23]。パリ検察庁は、別の宝石装飾品も落下していたが、その詳細については明らかにしなかった[11]。 メディア及び専門家は、犯人がギャラリー内に展示されていた幾つかの重要なダイヤモンド（単体で5100万ユーロと評価されるリージェント [24]、またサンシー、オルタンシアを標的としなかった点を指摘している[25]。 ローレ・ベクオー検事は「ルーヴル学芸員による損害評価額は8800万ユーロに上る」としつつも、「より重大な損失はフランスの歴史的遺産に対する侵害である」と付言した[26][27][28]。

捜査
パリ検察庁は本事件の捜査を開始し[11]、ベクオ検事は60名が捜査に配属されたと発表した[29]。内務大臣ローラン・ヌニェスは後の声明で、100名以上の捜査官が投入され[30]、指紋及びDNAを含む150点を超える証拠品が収集されたと述べている[31]。
警察は逃走経路上のCCTVの映像を分析した[6]。撮影された画像には、家具用リフトを2階バルコニーまで延長した小型トラックが美術館脇に駐車している様子が確認される[32]。ル・パリジャンによれば、警察は現場から電動工具、バーナー、ガソリン、手袋、トランシーバー、毛布、及び冠を回収した[14]。
犯行本体への関与が疑われる人物は4名であった[33][34]。10月25日には2名が逮捕され、内1名はアルジェリア行きの航空機への搭乗を試みたパリ＝シャルル・ド・ゴール空港で逮捕された。両名とも過去の窃盗事件で警察に既知の人物であった。捜査当局は、現場に遺棄されたヘルメットから採取された微量のDNAの証拠が、容疑者の1名と一致したと発表している[35][34][36]。4日後、検察庁は逮捕された2名が関与を部分的に認めたこと[37]、さらに「組織的強窃盗罪」及び「犯罪的通謀罪」で起訴されたことを明らかにした[38][39][40]。
10月29日には新たに5名の容疑者が逮捕されたが、4人組実行犯の一員と見なされている者は1名のみであった[41]。10月31日には37歳男性（窃盗及び犯罪的通謀）と38歳女性（組織的窃盗及び犯罪実行を目的とした犯罪的通謀）の2名が裁判官の面前で起訴された[42]。両名とも関与を否定しており、女性は涙ながらに自身と子供たちの身を案じると述べた[43]。
影響
犯行直後、美術館は避難措置が取られ一般公開を停止した[45][46][47]。国際刑事警察機構は10月20日、本件の宝石類を盗難美術品データベースに登録した[48]。美術館は10月22日に再開館したが、アポロン・ギャラリーは閉鎖されたままとなった[49]。
事件を受け、フランスのエマニュエル・マクロン大統領は、事前監査で提言されていた対策の実施加速を指示した[30]。
ローレンス・デ・カール館長は2025年10月22日、元老院に出席した。議員らの質問に応じ、美術館の監視システムに不備があったことを認めた。犯行当時、建物の外部カメラが一部領域を十分に捕捉できていなかったのである[50]。デ・カール館長は、窃盗事件発生当日に文化省へ辞任を申し出たものの、拒否された事実を明らかにした[50][22]。
反応
マクロン大統領は本件を「私たちの歴史そのものである、大切に守るべき文化遺産への攻撃だ」と非難し、宝石類の回収と犯人らの法廷引き立てを誓約した[51]。ジェラルド・ダルマナン司法大臣は「フランスに屈辱的なイメージを与えた」としつつも、犯人の逮捕に自信を示した[52]。ヌニェス内務大臣は本件を「大規模強奪」と呼び、盗品が「計り知れない遺産的価値」を持つと述べている[53][13]。ダティ文化大臣はTF1に対し「映像を確認したが、犯人は人を標的とせず、4分間で冷静に侵入し、展示ケースを破壊、戦利品を奪取し、撤退している。暴力行為はなく、極めてプロフェッショナルな手口だ」と語った[54]。 野党政治家らは本事件を政権批判の材料として活用している。国民連合のジョルダン・バルデラ党首は「国家的屈辱」と断じ、国家の衰退がどこまで進行するのかと詰問した[52]。国民議会の共和国民主連合代表エリック・シオッティは、本件を「現政権の崩壊の最終象徴」と表現。「このような事件を許容することは国家全体の危機である」とも主張した。共産党のイアン・ブロッサン上院議員は、美術館の「耐え難い状況」を訴える最近のストライキに対し政府が示した微弱な反応も批判している[11]。 犯行に使用された家具用リフトの製造元ベッカー社は、SNS上に自社製品の静粛性と迅速性を強調する投稿を公開し、話題になった[55][56]。
