第三波フェミニズム

第三波フェミニズム（Third-wave feminism）とは第二波を継承して1990年代初頭にアメリカで始まったフェミニズム運動である[2]。2020年代には第四波とされる運動が始まっている[3][4]。第三波のフェミニストは1960年代から70年代のアメリカに生まれたジェネレーションX世代であり、第二波のフェミニストたちが獲得してきた社会的権利を土台として個人主義と多文化主義を標榜しながら、個々の人がフェミニストであることの意味を再定義しようとしている[2][5][6]。第三の波において、フェミニズムは新たな潮流と理論の出現をみた。例えば、インターセクショナリティ、セックス・ポジティヴィティ、ベジタリアン・エコフェミニズム、トランスフェミニズム、ポストモダン・フェミニズムである。フェミニストで学者のエリザベス・エヴァンスによれば「第三波フェミニズムを構成しているものが何かを問うときに混乱が生じるのは、この運動が複数の角度から特徴づけられるからである」[7]。
