『ザ・ブルード/怒りのメタファー』（ザブルードいかりのメタファー、The Brood、以降『ザ・ブルード』と表記）は1979年のカナダのサイコロジカルホラー映画。脚本・監督はデヴィッド・クローネンバーグ、出演はオリヴァー・リードとサマンサ・エッガーなど。クローネンバーグ監督が妻と離婚した後に製作されており、崩壊した夫婦関係とその背後で進む怪物による殺人事件を描いている。

- ^ 『クレイマー、クレイマー』は1979年12月に劇場公開されたが、それは『ザ・ブルード』が公開された後のことである[5]。クローネンバーグ監督は『クレイマー、クレイマー』を自分なりに表現しようとして『ザ・ブルード』を製作したと述べているが[2]、クローネンバーグ監督がこの映画を見た可能性は低い[6]。1979年1月時点で『クレイマー、クレイマー』は撮影中だったが、『ザ・ブルード』も同時期に撮影中だった。エイヴリー・コーマンが書いた『クレイマー、クレイマー』の原作小説の方に言及していたのかもしれない。
- ^ 新聞によれば、映画が最初に公開されたのは週末の1979年6月1日のことだったという。その際はインディアナポリスで上映された[14]。その翌週にはロサンゼルスで上映された[15]。
