オードリー・マリー・マンソン（Audrey Marie Munson、1891年6月8日 - 1996年2月20日）は、アメリカ合衆国の美術モデル、映画女優。「ミス・マンハッタン」、「パナマ–パシフィック・ガール」、「エクスポジション・ガール」、「アメリカン・ヴィーナス」など、さまざまな通称で知られる。ニューヨーク市内の15以上の彫像のモデル・着想源となり、4本のサイレント映画に出演した[1]。
- ^ ストーリーについて語った1996年のニューヨーク・タイムズへの投稿：[17] ウッドハウスはアパートでひとり仕事をしていた。その部屋には最近まで彫刻家が住んでいた。ウッドハウスは細君に、寝椅子の改修をする職人が来るはずだからと言われていた。そこにオードリー・マンソンがドアをノックしてなにか仕事はありませんかと聞いた。ウッドハウスは「お願いするよ」と答え、「全部でいくらだね？」と尋ねた。
マンソンは「全部ですね？」と言って寝室に消えた。そして「いままで誰も見たこともないような裸体で」戻って来た。ウッドハウスは「女職人にしたってずいぶん変わった人じゃないか」と思った。
最終的に誤解は解けたけれども、ボルトンはとても興がって、彼らが当時書いていた戯曲『Oh, Lady, Lady』にこの話を取り入れた。
