Beta 2 microglobulin
【概要】 血液の中にある蛋白質の一種。ほとんどの細胞の表面にある組織適合抗原(HLA)Class Iの構成成分。細胞が壊れると血液中の濃度が上昇する。正常値は2.5μg/L以下。腎臓の尿細管障害があると再吸収できないため尿中のβ2MGの濃度が上昇する。
【詳しく】 HIV感染症でこの物質の量が正常以上に増えるということは、CD4細胞の破壊が進みHIV感染症が進行していることを意味している。これを代用マーカーと呼んだ。最近は間接的な指標としてあまり重用されなくなった。腎臓の尿細管障害のマーカーになるので、ガンシクロビル、バルガンシクロビル、アシクロビル、インジナビル、テノホビルの副作用チェックになる。

β2-ミクログロブリンもしくはβ2-マイクログロブリン（英: beta-2 microglobulin）は、MHCクラスI分子の構成要素である。MHCクラスI分子は赤血球を除く全ての有核細胞に存在している[5][6]。ヒトでは、β2-ミクログロブリンはB2M遺伝子にコードされている[6][7][8]。
