Galaxy Unpacked（ギャラクシー・アンパックト）は、サムスン電子が毎年開催するイベントで、スマートフォン、タブレット、ウェアラブルなど、一般消費者向けの新商品を発表する場である。最初のイベントは2009年6月、シンガポールのSingapore Expoで開かれたCommunicAsiaにおいて「Samsung Mobile Unpacked」の名称で開催された。その後の製品発表では、主に バルセロナ、ニューヨーク、サンフランシスコなどで頻繁に行われ、2015年以降は「Galaxy Unpacked」の名称でブランド化されている。
このイベントでは、製品発表のための基調講演がサムスンの経営陣によって行われる[1]。来場者は展示ブースを訪れ、デモンストレーションゾーンで実際に製品を体験することができる[2]。
「Galaxy Unpacked」のライブ配信では、Samsung Galaxyシリーズの象徴的な音楽、しばしばカスタマイズされた「Over the Horizon」がプレロール音楽として流され、同じアニメーションが繰り返し使用される[3]。
イベントに招待されるのは、サムスンの幹部、報道関係者、ソーシャルメディアのインフルエンサー、そして一部のSamsung CareアンバサダーやSamsung Members Starsのみである。
歴史
2020年8月、新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の影響により、サムスンは初めてイベントをバーチャル形式で開催し、「Galaxy Note 20」シリーズを発表した。このイベントは韓国・水原にある同社本社から無観客の形でライブ配信され、累計で5,600万回以上の視聴を記録した[4]。
2023年7月26日、Galaxy Z Fold 5、Galaxy Z Flip 5、Galaxy Watch 6 シリーズ、そして Galaxy Tab S9 シリーズの発表を目的とした「Galaxy Unpacked」が、韓国・ソウルにて午後12時（GMT、韓国時間午後8時）に開催された。このイベントには BTSのメンバーSUGA（ミン・ユンギ）が登場し、彼がAgust D名義で発表した楽曲 「Daechwita」がオープニングで使用された。
この回は、サムスンの本拠地である韓国で、観客を入れて開催された初のUnpackedイベント となった[5]。
2024年最初の「Galaxy Unpacked」は、1月17日にアメリカ・カリフォルニア州サンノゼのSAPセンターで開催された。この場でサムスンは、新たな 生成系Galaxy AIと、Galaxy S24シリーズのモバイル端末を発表した。また、同年後半の発売を予定する新デバイス「Galaxy Ring」を公式に紹介した。イベントでは、人気配信者の Pokimane が特別ゲストとして登場し、新しいスマートフォンのAI機能を披露した[6]。

「Samsung Galaxy」の記事における「Galaxy UNPACKED」の解説
Galaxy Sシリーズ、Galaxy Noteシリーズ、Galaxy Wearableなどは「冬から春」、「夏から秋」の年2回開催されるGalaxy UNPACKEDイベントで発表されることが多い。会場は年によって異なるが、近年ではアメリカでの開催が多くなっている。また、フラグシップモデルの発表であるため、業界の大きな注目が集まる。世界各国から多くのマスメディアやテック系メディアが招待されるほか、一部地域からは抽選で選ばれた「Galaxy Members」の数名が招待される。
