プロポフォール（英語: Propofol）は、全身麻酔や鎮静に用いられる化合物である。最も作用時間が短く調節性に優れる静脈麻酔薬の一つであり、プロポフォールの登場後、全静脈麻酔や標的制御注入(TCI)など、麻酔科学上の多くの革新がもたらされた。商品名ディプリバン（Diprivan）でアストラゼネカから発売され、後発医薬品も出ている。

「全身麻酔」の記事における「プロポフォール（ディプリバン、プロポフォールマルイシ）」の解説
肝臓での代謝が早く、麻酔の導入にも維持にも好んで用いられるもっとも主流の全身麻酔薬である。疼痛効果がなく、フェンタニルなどの麻薬鎮痛薬や硬膜外麻酔などの局所麻酔と併用する。小児に対する麻酔目的での使用は禁忌ではないが、避けられる傾向にある。これは集中治療分野で、長期間鎮静のために投与された患者にPropofol Infusion Syndromeという重篤な病態が発生した報告があるためである。
