単純疱疹

単純疱疹（たんじゅんほうしん）とは、皮膚に生じる単純ヘルペスウイルス感染症の一種。単純ヘルペス（たんじゅんへるぺす、英: herpes simplex）とも。口唇やその周囲では口唇ヘルペス（こうしんへるぺす、英:Herpes labialis、口語でCold sore）となり、単純ヘルペスウイルス1型 (HSV-1) が原因になりやすい。陰部では性器ヘルペスで、2型 (HSV-2) が原因になりやすい。
